Another Thursday, another trip to Costco, after a quick dinnner of leftover Chicken Korma and tossed salad. Here’s what filled our cart this week:
- Spinach (organic)
- Mixed salad greens (organic)
- Turkey breast
- Hummus (single-serving packs)
- Green tea
- Eggs (organic)
- Cottage cheese
- Mixed nuts
So enamored am I with the Korma and the other simple curry recipes in “Food Revolution” that I made a trip to my favorite Middle Eastern/East Asian grocer, the Souk, in Pike Place Market to pick up jars of Korma curry sauce (the paste seems to be hard to come by in the U.S.) and Tikka Masala curry paste for when I’m really in a hurry and can’t make my own.
I also met the husband for lunch at El Puerco Lloron (“The Crying Pig”) on the Pike Street Hillclimb. I love the rickety tables and unique “rustic” décor almost as much as I love the taquitos with carnitas (pork). I should try something else on the menu, but I only eat there a few times a year, and I love what I love.
