Short and sweet

I think I’m coming down with a cold (I honestly can’t remember the last time that happened…it’s been at least two years). I blame lack of sleep. We got in the habit of staying up late in Vegas, and have had a hard time making ourselves get back to our usual 10 p.m.-ish bedtime.

Speaking of lack of sleep, check out #23 on USA Today’s “25 best weight loss tips from over the years.” Now, I don’t generally get my health, nutrition and fitness news from USA Today, but a link to this article came my way in one of the e-health news digests I subscribe to, and I was shocked to find that I agreed with every single item on the list. It’s solid!

I personally am a zealot about #17, “Downsize plates, bowls, glasses, silverwear.” Try to serve me a normal portion of food on a plate that’s big enough for four of those portions, and I may have to hurt you. No, I’m not kidding. Well, maybe I’m kidding a little.

I’m totally excited about #8 “Create a dinner deck.” I’m totally going to do this! Look, I’m going to type “totally” one more time! Ahhh…I think this potential cold is going to my head. And I have biochem class tonight. Goody!
