I was so excited last week when I saw “the Ration,” a food and health reporting project by the University of California at Berkeley School of Journalism that I nearly jumped up in down. (OK, part of that was because they still call it the “School of Journalism,” not “School of Communication” like many colleges, including my alma mater, have gone to.)

Seriously, this is a beautiful, beautiful package of work. Both in terms of content and actual design…visually, it’s a treat. I’ll be honest, I haven’t read all of it yet (what with the end of the school term and getting ready to go on vacation), but what I have read justifies my initial excitement. Enjoy!
