I’ve had a few requests recently to write about what to eat during pregnancy. As fortune would have it, I’m taking a class right now on maternal and infant nutrition. So starting next week, my Thursday post will be dedicated to eating nutritiously for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. I’m excited to share what I’m learning! I don’t know how long the series will run…probably until I run out of things to say.
Right now, my plan is to include some “big picture” information on what a healthy pregnancy diet looks like (hint: not a lot different than a non-pregnant healthy diet), as well as detailed information on certain nutrients and foods. I’ll also offer what I hope is interesting information on the “whys” behind the recommendations. Because it’s so important, I’ll also talk about nutrition before conception, because that’s really important.
