You know how chicken soup always seems to hit the spot when you’re sick? (Unless you don’t eat chicken, I suppose.) There’s good reason for that. Much like the various components of the Mediterranean diet seem to work together symbiotically to reduce risk of diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc., the various components of chicken soup seem to work together to battle the common cold.
