Happy Friday! I’m doing something rather strange today…I’m taking a day off. We were finishing dinner last night, and I was trying to decide if I was going to go into the office (I have no patients scheduled) or just stay at home and work.
My husband said, “I think you need to stay home and just take a Carrie day. Read magazines, watch movies. Don’t even think about anything nutrition-related. Don’t check your email. When was the last time you took a day off? Like, five years ago?”
I think I just sort of blinked at him. I didn’t know how to answer, because I honestly couldn’t remember the last time I took a full day off (other than when we were in Paris). I’m always working (including weekends) even if some of the projects aren’t income-generating. “I have to at least do a blog post,” I said.
“Then you better write it tonight.”
(Yep, he’s a keeper.) So I wrote this post last night, and I’m taking today day off. I’m going to watch “Her,” and finish reading “The Aviator’s Wife.” I can’t go for a walk because of my stupid injured foot, but I can lift weights, and do a little yoga. Maybe I’ll even do some sewing…if I remember how (it has been that long).
Anyway, enough about me…here are a few links I picked out from the week:
Finally, one special link to information on my upcoming classes
! Two free classes next month (“Health, Wellness & Weight”) and one 6-week class starting in September, “Healthy For (Your) Life,” which has an early registration discount. I’m very excited to be able to offer these content-rich classes.
Have a wonderful weekend!
