I’m on my way to Philadelphia today (posting this from the airport) to attend the Renfrew Center Foundation For Eating Disorders annual conference. This year’s theme is “Feminist Relational Perspectives and Beyond: The ‘Practice’ of Practice.” I attended the conference for the first time last year, and learned so much. I didn’t think I was going to be able to attend again this year, but Renfrew offered me a media invite, which paid for my registration.
I’ll be blogging about the conference (look for posts on Monday, Tuesday and possibly Wednesday), so stay tuned. You can read last year’s post here.
On a related, Seattle-centric note, last week I started co-facilitating Road to RecoverED a free peer support group for individuals struggling with eating disorders. The group was started about a dozen years and just moved to a new location. It’s held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursdays (not today, though) just off the University of Washington campus at University Presbyterian Church, Room 360, 4540 15th Avenue NE, Seattle, WA 98105. For more information, email RoadtoRecoverEDSeattle@gmail.com.
