Links I like: Eating Disorder Awareness Week

Happy Friday! Before I turn to this special edition of Links I Like, I want to offer a little plagiarism public service announcement.

Please don’t plagiarize. And if you are a registered dietitian, especially do not plagiarize another RD’s work. I work very hard on my On Nutrition columns for The Seattle Times. I choose my topics carefully, I make sure I have all my facts straight, and I try to write them in a way that is acessible to everyone, easy to read, informative and maybe even fun to read. So imagine my ire yesterday afternoon, I received an email from someone I don’t even know (bless her), with the subject head “Think someone stole your article, Carrie!” Imagine how much my ire increased when I realized it wasn’t some random blogger, but an RD.

I’ll let you compare:

I mean, seriously? She didn’t even change my subheads!

In more serious business, this week is National Eating Disorders Awareness Week. This week’s links follow that theme:

And the three On Nutrition columns I’ve written about eating disorders:

I’m excited to be at a two day motivational interviewing workshop today and tomorrow (fellow RDs, I’m sure you know about Molly Kellogg and how fabulous she is). I hope to do a good bit of cooking on Sunday for the week ahead, and maybe squeeze some vegetable garden cleanup amongst my, ahem, writing projects. Have a fabulous weekend!
P.S. On Monday, I’ll post about my new job.
