Happy Monday! I’m in Las Vegas right now at the Today’s Dietitian conference, but I wanted to do a quick post to let you know about my last two On Nutrition columns in The Seattle Times (the first one came out while I was in Paris and I never posted about it).
My column in yesterday’s paper, “The truth about acid-forming diets and foods,” was inspired by all of the patients I’ve had who have either asked me if they should be following an acid-alkaline diet (usually because they have cancer), or told me that they were trying to follow one.
My May 3 column, “Snacking between meals can help you gain–or lose–weight” was also inspired by conversations I have constantly about how to snack smartly. In other words, are your snacking habits working for you or against you.
Enjoy!
